About Clearance: Immigration & Customs

This does not apply to you if you are coming to Puerto by plane.  This was taken care of when you originally entered the Philippines.

Immigration is situated on Rizal Ave, near but opposite the airport, on the second floor of a bright green three (3) story building along the main road, right hand side towards the airport – small sign post on the second floor balcony, entry is around back. Some of the tricycles cabbies know where it is and is only a short trike ride from AYC.

 

 

Items needed for check-in:

  • 1 - Photocopy of last Port Clearance (and bring original)
  • 1 - Photocopy of boat Certificate of Registration (and bring original)
  • 3 - Photocopies of Crew List
  • 1 - Photocopy of Passports for each passenger (and bring passports to Immigration)
    • photo page
    • stamped page from last country exited
  • If there is a passenger on the boat who will not be leaving when the boat leaves, they need a plane ticket which needs to be presented during check-in
  • First 29 days in the Philippines is free
  • No fees

 

They do not make photocopies for you, there are many places available  to make copies (one being just a cross the street from Immigration and another almost next door to Customs), just ask the driver, or keep your eyes peeled for a sign, there are many.

  • Once these are checked, you will receive:
    • A stamp of entry in each passport
    • Clearance from Immigration document
    • Immigration Boarding Formalities
    • Go to Customs, information below, you need to go there also but after Immagration

 

 

Items needed for check-out:

  • 1 - Photocopy of Last Port Clearance (and bring original)
  • 1 - Photocopy of boat Certificate of Registration (and bring original)
  • 3 - Photocopy of Crew List
  • 1 - Photocopy of Passports for each passenger (and bring passports to Immigration)
    • photo page
    • latest Philippine Immigration stamped page;
  • No Fee

 

Remember to bring your photocopies with you as they will not make the copies for you.

  • Once these are checked, you will receive:
    • Immigration Port Clearance document
    • A stamp of exit in each passport

EXTEND YOUR STAY

 

Process of Request for Extension of Stay:    

 

           

Before Arriving to Immagration Office:

  • 1 - Photocopy of Passports for each person extending their stay (and bring passports to Immigration)
    • photo page
    • latest Philippine Immigration stamped page

 

Upon Arriving to Immagration Office:

  • Fill out Application Form for Extension
  • Submit form and passport to assigned staff
  • Wait for interview
  • Wait for processing of documents
  • Pay corresponding extension fee
  • Receive extended stay stamp in passport
  • Process time approximately 20 minutes

 

Fees as of April 22, 2016:

  • No fee first 29 days, on day 30 go to Immigration (takes you to one month)
  • 3,130 peso for an additional 29 days after initial 30 days, on day 59 of being in the country, go to Immigration (takes you up to two months)
  • 5,400 peso plus the equivalent to $50 (United States Dollars) in pesos for an iCard, gets you another 90 days, the day before the 5th month of being in the country, go to Immigration (2 months up to 5 months)
  • 2,930 peso for an additional 30 days (5 months up to 6 months)
  • 4,340 peso for an additional 90 days (6 months up to 9 months)
  • 2,930 peso for an additional 30 days (9 months up to 10 months)
  • 3,240 peso for an additional 60 days (10 months up to 12 months)

Customs is located opposite the Pilot Elementary school just off Manalo Street, close to the port, in another anonymous building that has a massage place on the first floor and Customs on the second, entry is on the side of the building. The tricycle cabbies mostly know where it is located. The officials are all very helpful.

 

Items needed for check-in:

  • 1 - Photocopy of Last Port Clearance (and bring original)
  • 1 - Photocopy of boat Certificate of Registration (and bring original)
  • 1 - Photocopy of Clearance from Immigration (and bring original)
  • 1 - Photocopy of Crew List
  • 1 - Photocopy of Passports for each passenger (and bring passports to Customs)
    • photo page
    • latest Philippine Immigration stamped page
  • Fee is 115.00 Filipino peso for CDS/BIR stamp

  • Once these are checked and the funds are received, you will receive:
    • Bureau of Customs – Record of Vessel Boarded document (they do not generally board your vessel)
    • Receipt for the 115.00 peso for CDS/BIR stamp

  • 1 - Photocopy of latest Crew List
  • 1 - Fully Accomplished Request for Clearance Form
  • 1 - Photocopy of Passports for each passenger (and bring passports)
    • if no prior check-in at the Sub-port of Puerto Princesa.  
    • Otherwise:
      • photo page
      • latest Philippine Immigration stamped page
  • Fee is 115.00 Filipino peso for CDS/BIR stamp
  • Foreign Destination

 

Remember to bring your photocopies with you as they will not make the copies for you.

 

  • Once these are checked and the funds are received, they will give you back:
    • Bureau of Customs – Clearance Of Vessel To A Foreign Port document
    • Receipt for the 115.00 peso for CDS/BIR stamp
